On July 8, more than 100 medical experts from major hospitals in Beijing arrived in Damxung County, Lhasa City, Xizang Autonomous Region, for a three-day medical outreach program. Traveling thousands of kilometers, they ventured into the northern Xizang grasslands at an altitude of 4,300 meters to provide a range of services, including mobile medical consultations, free clinics, congenital heart disease screening, surgical assistance, household visits, and health education.
Rigzin, 84, arrived early after hearing about the clinic. “It’s usually very difficult for us to see medical specialists,” he said. “Today, the doctors examined me very carefully. They not only prescribed medicine for me but also explained what I should pay attention to in my daily life. Their care has truly warmed my heart.”
