The Lhalu Wetland is the world’s highest urban natural wetland at an altitude of about 3,650 meters. Known as “the lung of Lhasa,” the area serves not only as a vital source of fresh air for the city but also as a paradise for birds.

Recently, the Lhalu Wetland has been covered with lush vegetation and dotted with shimmering waters. The melodious songs of birds blend into the most enchanting symphony of nature in summer. Strolling along the wetland trail and gazing at the Potala Palace in the distance, visitors can see birds and other life forms set against the backdrop of the Nanshan Mountains, creating a breathtaking ecological landscape on the plateau.
