On July 1, a group of young visitors from Kong Fansen Primary School in Gar County, Ngari Prefecture, the Xizang Autonomous Region, visited the Temple of Heaven Park in Beijing, where they immersed themselves in an exploration of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and experienced firsthand the profound heritage of China’s fine traditional culture.
The group visited the park’s landmark attractions, including the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the Echo Wall, and the Circular Mound Altar. Along the way, they learned about the Temple of Heaven’s 600-year history as well as the ingenious acoustic design incorporated into its ancient architecture.
For many of the children, it was their first time leaving the snowy plateau and seeing in person the historic buildings they had previously known only from their textbooks. Excited by the experience, they eagerly took photographs, looking forward to sharing what they had seen and learned with their families and friends back home.
