The Yunnan snub-nosed monkey, known as the “elves on the snow-covered mountain”, is a national first-class protected animal and an endangered species on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. They are mainly distributed in the alpine primitive forests in the northwest of Yunnan and southeast of Xizang. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of the ecological environment and the effective promotion of protection work, good living environments and breeding conditions have been provided to Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys. The Yunnan snub-nosed Monkey National Park in Deqen Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province is a good place to watch Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys, attracting countless tourists and photographers.
